Bridal-Bag.com was founded by Mary Brophy, a corporate executive who struggled to find just the right bag to fit her personal style. She took her frustrations and created new choices for similar minded women. With quality and style of utmost importance, she selected a top designer to create high end fabric designs which are personalized and then constructed into one of a kind handbags.

Founded in 1994, the company continues to strive to meet high standards with quality handbags, personalized service and sourcing almost all materials and components within the United States.

The company's mission is to assist brides and her wedding party as well as business women in flaunting their unique look through customized, stylish and functional bags.

Mary Whitley Brophy - Chief Bizz Officer

Mary Brophy launched Bizzbag in 2008 for trendsetting brides, entrepreneurs and business professionals who want to flaunt their personal brand as a style or personality statement. Her mission was to create premium tote, clutch, messenger, computer and portfolio bags that allowed the savvy chic to merge fashion with function. Anyone can now display their business or personal brand while networking in the boardroom, walking the boardwalk or relaxing at the beach with or without a surfboard.

Prior to Bizzbag, Mary acquired her entrepreneurial spirit from her mother while working in her family business which issued truck permits via facsimile. Mary went on to become a high achiever in sales and sales management positions and working with small businesses in marketing roles.

After graduating from college, she took on technical and product marketing positions for two Fortune 500 companies, Amdahl Corporation and Alcoa. Thereafter, her entrepreneurial ambitions guided her. She co-founded Viasoft, Inc., a computer software company which was later publicaly traded on the NASDQ exchange.

When she left Viasoft, Mary continued working with early-stage technology startups in a consulting and management positions. These small businesses were primarily in the software and Internet sectors, but also included creating and operating a modern art gallery in Fort Collins, Colorado. It was here that Mary saw the need to incorporate individuality and aestheticism with practicality and business.

Mary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Iowa State University and later earned a Masters in Business Administration from Stanford University. When she's not creating chic bags for the fashion-forward, you can find Mary rollerblading, biking, playing tennis and spending time with her husband and golden retriever on their sailboat.
